Music
St. Augustine once wrote, “For the one who sings praise, does not only praise but also praises joyously; the one who sings praise, is not only singing but also loving Him whom they are singing about.” As Christians, our singing is rooted in God’s love for us, and our love for him.
Music is an essential part of our worship and community life. Our Music Ministry, led by Anna Lynn Murphy (Music Director) and Carol Smith (Organist), is dedicated to enriching our services and special occasions with inspiring and uplifting music.
The Choir
Our choir is an integral part of the 10:30 am Sunday service, providing leadership in music and fostering a spirit of worship. Additionally, the choir plays a central role in special services throughout the liturgical year, such as Christmas, Easter, and other holy days.
The choir helps lead the choir in hymns and liturgical music and typically offers an anthem as a musical response during the Liturgy of the Word.
The choir gathers for practice at the following times:
Thursday Evenings: 7:30 pm
Sunday Mornings: 10:00 am, before the service
New members are always welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned singer or simply love to make a joyful noise, there’s a place for you in our choir.
Instrumental Musicians
Beyond the choir, instrumental musicians add depth and variety to our worship, especially during festive and significant services. Their talents bring a unique vibrancy to our celebrations.
